My artistic practice is rooted in direct observation of reality, informed by regular plein air painting in both urban and rural environments. This approach trains my eye to see differently and continually feeds my studio work.

Drawing from the emotion and atmosphere of a scene, I allow space for imagination, spontaneous gesture, and an occasionally unpredictable mark. I do not seek to explain the world, but rather to offer an image “good for the soul,” open to the viewer’s own life experience and interpretation.
